IT Asset Disposal (ITAD)

MAKE ROOM FOR WHAT’S NEXT

Help your customer retire redundant IT with a clear plan for the equipment, the data and the handover.

The refresh is not finished when the new kit arrives

Old equipment still needs attention. There are assets to identify, data requirements to agree and a collection that needs to fit around the customer’s operation.

EO helps resellers scope IT asset disposal as part of a wider refresh or deployment. We work through the equipment and handling requirements so the route is agreed before anything leaves the site.

A proper next step for the old kit.

WHAT CAN WE HELP WITH?

Help your customer retire redundant IT with a clear plan for the equipment, the data and the handover.

HOW IT WORKS

A responsible process starts with an agreed scope. We help bring the asset list, data requirements and collection arrangements into one conversation.

CLARITY THROUGHOUT

SEND THE ASSET LIST

Tell us what is being retired, where it is, whether it contains data and when it needs to leave.

AGREE THE ROUTE

Confirm the handling, data treatment, collection and reporting requirements before work is authorised.

REMOVE & RECORD

Follow the agreed handover process and obtain the documentation specified for the work carried out.

A clear next step for redundant IT.

THE DATA AND THE DEVICE NEED A PLAN

A retired server or laptop is more than a piece of surplus hardware. It may contain business information, licensed software or storage media that require a defined process before the asset can move on.

EO helps you raise those requirements early and scope the appropriate support. Reuse, value recovery and recycling may be relevant routes, but the right choice depends on the equipment, condition and agreed service.

Set out the required records and evidence before collection. That gives the customer a clearer understanding of what will happen, who is responsible and what documentation will be provided afterwards.

Know the assets.
Agree the handling.
Record the outcome.

IT Asset Disposal (ITAD) FAQs

The practical details, before you get started.

What is ITAD?

IT asset disposal covers the planned retirement of redundant IT equipment, including its handling, data requirements and onward route. The work should be agreed before assets are released.

What equipment can EO help with?

Send a list of the equipment, quantities, condition and locations. The team will confirm the available support and any handling restrictions.

Is data erasure included automatically?

No. Data treatment must be explicitly scoped. Agree the required method, responsibilities and evidence before equipment is collected.

Can we request physical destruction?

Raise that requirement during scoping, including the media involved and any witnessing or reporting needs. The available service and cost must be confirmed.

Will we receive certificates or reports?

Specify the documents your customer needs in advance. The agreed service determines which asset, collection and data-treatment records are supplied.

Can equipment be reused or have residual value?

Possibly, depending on age, condition, data treatment and market demand. Any valuation or reuse route needs assessment and should not be assumed.

Can removal coincide with a new installation?

It can be discussed as part of the wider project. Confirm site access, timings and the separation of old and new equipment in the plan.

What should the customer do before collection?

Identify the assets, retain required data and agree account, software and access requirements with their IT team. Follow the agreed handling instructions before releasing equipment.

How is pricing worked out?

The quote depends on equipment, quantities, locations, handling, data treatment and reporting requirements. A clear asset list helps us scope the work accurately.

NEW KIT GOING IN. OLD KIT COMING OUT?

Share the asset list and the project dates. We’ll help you plan what happens next.

Good people. Practical support.
One less thing for you to worry about.
